Dinner time

Not a person was disappointed after filling up at the Fund raising dinner. As you will see from the pictures, many pitched in to cook, clean, serve, and entertain. Thanks Stephen and Alice Tuininga for taking the pictures.

THANK YOU
Dear Friends,
On behalf of our respective Boards, we would sincerely like to thank everyone who has contributed to the “Sparrows” apartment project in Smithers.
To move an idea from the concept stage through to actual construction with its many steps in between requires an incredible amount of volunteers who pour their heart and soul into the project. That passion has expressed itself in so many ways, through time spent around board tables, donated labor, materials, expertise and finances, as well as many prayers. Thank you many times, Thank you!
As this project nears completion and looks forward to opening its doors in late spring, we feel so blessed to also see what a positive experience this has for the Christian community in Smithers, the individuals who hope to live the apartments, as well as the community at large who have really caught the vision for this project.
Thank you for a Great Job well done!
Humbly in Christ’s Service,
Warren Vandenberg, President of Sparrows Christian Housing Society
Hank Hamstra, President of Bethesda Christian Association
Bert Altena, Executive Director of Bethesda Christian Association
Soffit and Fascia
If you look up.. way up, you will notice that the Soffit and Fascia has been completed around the building. On December 24th Will Verhelst and Bill Devries spent quite a few hours on this part of the project. That's right, Christmas Eve and these guys were still working hard! The job looks great, thanks for your attention to detail!
What a sight
With perfect timing, warmer weather hits the Bulkley Valley, as the Leffers gang starts to work on the siding. The work is coming along nicely and about half of the building is completed. We are starting to see the excellent taste in design and color schematics from Sylvia Slagter. The word on the street is that she is the go to girl on the building committee. Thanks to all on the committee for your efforts.
